Custom made historically accurate and inspired Victorian/Civil War gowns and dresses. All of our Civil War gowns and dresses are custom made to order and can be designed, modified or altered in any way desired. Dresses during the Civil War period can be easily identified by their large round, full skirt created by a cage crinoline or hoop skirt worn under the skirt. Skirts were often a main focus of gowns, ball and evening gowns in particular popularly had elaborate ruffles and flounces, trims, lace and decorations. The bodice and skirt are separate pieces, often with a Garibaldi blouse worn with a cropped jacket.
