Purple Cotton Civil War Gown Front

This elegant Civil War day dress and ball gown combination was designed in part by the customer to create a gown that could be worn in a number of different ways. This entire gown is made out of 100% cotton. The gown skirt is made out of a floral printed lavender cotton fabric trimmed with a knife pleated bottom ruffle. Lace and lavender floral trim accent the top of the bottom ruffle and the skirt closes in the back with hooks and eyes. The garibaldi blouse is also made out of 100% white cotton fabric and buttons down the center front with a black ribbon stitched around the neckline for extra contrast. The ball bodice is made out of the printed floral lavender fabric and is lined with cotton sateen. Bodice closes down the front with faux glass buttons and is piped and trimmed with the dark purple contrasting fabric. The dark purple bonnet is built on a buckram frame and is hand decorated with matching silk flowers.
