Purple & Black Velvet Civil War Day Gown

Purple and Black Velvet Civil War Ball Gown Front Purple and Black Velvet Civil War Ball Gown Back

This stunning Civil War ball gown is made from black velvet and wine colored taffeta with black velvet stripes. Bodice front has a beautiful beaded hand sewn applique and lovely double puffed silk sleeves. Bodice is fully lined and boned and has back grommeted closure with modesty panel. Skirt is composed of two tiers: wine taffeta overskirt which is pulled up with ribbons along the bottom edge creating a lovely scalloped line and black silk underskirt. Both skirts close in the back with hooks and eyes. Sold as a five piece set: day blouse, ball bodice, underskirt, overskirt and reticule (not pictured).
