This special order custom made reproduction gown was made to look as close to the original movie gown as possible. In conjunction with the client we did quite a bit of research on this gown to determine the correct style and construction. Over 10,000 sequins of various sizes were used to create this gown! The gown skirt is made out of five layers: satin, silk organza, and three layers of silk chiffon. The skirt is covered with star and circle sequins, small and medium size stars filled with sequins, and large 'snowflake' stars made with twisted bugle beads with a sequin filled star center. The bodice is made out of the same fabrics and closes in the back with hooks and eyes. The bottom of the bodice is trimmed with a row of square crystals. The bodice is also decorated with sequins, stars and snowflakes.

The crown is made of plastic covered with silk chiffon. All of the beads and sequins on the crown were placed by hand. The large butterfly sitting on the left shoulder was made from a wire frame and silk organza. All of the sequin detailing on the butterfly was also hand placed.

The only part of this gown we did not replicate was the center front metal brooch on the bodice. We have used a crystal brooch for the photo, the client ordered a custom reproduction of the original movie brooch from a metal shop.
